Unable to Connect to Icecast Server
This article is specific to Icecast and connecting to your Icecast server as a Live DJ.
Please try our troubleshooting steps below if you're unable to connect to your Icecast server.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Login to your GridCast.pro account.
2. Navigate to your stations management page.
3. First review that your services are running. "Broadcasting Service Icecast" and "AutoDJ Service Liquidsoap" should show a badge "Running" in green. If either of these services show as "Disabled" in red start these services.
Important: If your plan doesn't include AutoDJ the AutoDJ Service Liquidsoap must still be running as this handles the audio transcoding.
4. Check you have a DJ Account setup and you're using the correct DJ Account Details. For help with this step please view this Article.
5. Check you have the correct Icecast server details, these can be found in the "Live Streaming" > "Stream / DJ Accounts" section of your station management panel.
Important: If the client you're using to connect to the Icecast server with doesn't support domain names instead use 51.38.148.101 as the host address / server.
Tip: All the server connection details you need can also be found in the Notecard provided when you purchased your stream plan in-world.
